Ladies of Paris

Sakura Crystal Lacquer

This week I continue with my Want2Scrap Paris Chipboard Album. I have added framed French ladies from my vintage  postcard collection of French Ladies post.

Using Standard Bottle Caps from The Bottle Cap Inc, I painted the inside trim of the caps with Sakura Crystal Lacquer and Terri Sproul Mixers - Gold

Cut the images out with a one inch punch and adhere with Crystal Lacquer. Add Beads and to the outer circle of each bottle cap and fill with Crystal Lacquer.

Adhere copy of French postcard and Want2Srap Charlies Birdcage Silhouette and Bird on Branch Silhouette.

Add the bottle cap framed ladies and Swirl from Want2Scrap Pink Flower.

Use Robin's Nest Mardi Gras Metalic Dew Drops for the finishing touch.

My Love of Paris!

More of My PARIS Chipboard Book!

and
The Paris Chipboard Album includes chipboard pages, rings and the laser cut Eiffel Tower pictured above.
This week I painted the chipboard pink using craft paint (page 3). Distressed it with brown ink. Since it would be hard to get the detail of the Eiffel if I covered the page with pattern paper I tore a piece of pattern paper just shy of the image, distressed and adhered. Then adhered the Eiffel Tower Laser included in the kit image from Want2Srcap with Sakura Crystal Lacquer. Once I had it in position I covered the Eiffel Tower with Sakura Crystal Lacquer and set aside to dry overnight. Covering with the lacquer Eiffel Tower protects it from getting destroyed with use.
Here is the cover I created in my last post and the Eiffel Tower from page 3.
Up close of the Eiffel Tower after the Sakura Crystal Lacquer has dried.
Next I with Sakura Crystal Lacquer adhered a lady from my vintage French postcard collection. Added a few Prima Flowers.
On the opposite page I added a light coat of Sakura Crystal Lacquer with Terri Spourl's Mixer - Gold to give the page a more vintage look. The picture of the Eiffel Tower is adorned with one of Want2Scrap Nestabling Fancy Tags
Here I have sparingly added a little ink to distress the flowers. With my fingers add a smidgen of Sakura Crystal Lacquer to them and sprinkled with Terri Sproul's Ultra Fine Glitter.

More Paris to follow in later posts!

Paris!!!

and

Here is a the cover of my PARIS book from Want 2 Scrap

First, I covered the chipboard cover with pattern paper. Then I tore away the paper from "Paris" and left it ripped. I painted a little crystal lacquer on the ripped paper to give it more body!

Then I adhered the Want 2 Scrap self adhesive Pink Pearl flower

In the flower I added Sakura Crystal Lacquer mixed with Terri Sprouls Mixer - Rose Pearl.

I have a collection of vintage French postcards that I will be using as I make this book. I copied and printed this postcard.  Ripped the edges and adhered with Sakura Crystal Lacquer.

Here is the cover of my Paris book.
Next post I will share a few pages!

Sakura Crystal Lacquer - Paris Gift Tag

I LOVE PAIRS!!!!
This tag would make a great embellishment on a package or gift bag for a special occasion!

For the tag I cut a section of a napkin with the Eiffel Tower to use for the front of the tag. Separate the napkin layers (usually 3).  Moisten a Q-tip and outline the areas of the napkin to tear making uneven edges.  Cut canvas 5x7, fray edges by pulling threads.  On the front side, cover canvas with Sakura Crystal Lacquer mixed and Terri Sproul Mixers - Citrine Pearl.  Carefully lay the Eiffel Tower portion of the napkin on the lacquer.  Once the napkin touches it is there to stay (try to move and it will tear).  Layer lace on the canvas using Sakura Crystal Lacquer.  Add Glitter Glitz to the lacquer mix and paint over lace and around edges.  Let it dry before working on the back.  When dry the canvas will be stiff.

On the back use Sakura Crystal Lacquer with Terri Sproul Mixers Aquamarine Pearl (the color from the front side distorted the color and it looks green). On the painted canvas add a piece of sheet music, ledger paper and a section of the napkin, cover with the lacquer.  Sprinkle with fine glitter.  Adhere fabric and flowers with Sakura Crystal Lacquer. Dry throughly, preferably over night.
Center top punch a hole and set eyelet. Add a swivel clasp with chain. Tie ribbons on the clasp. Now you have a beautiful tag to adorn your gift!
