Terri’s passion is teaching fellow Scrapbooker’s and Stamper’s new techniques and to think ‘out of the box’ and ‘off the Page.’
Chelsea Povall:
Chelsea is a crafter, actress, singer and dancer. She started crafting from a very young age. She started scrapbooking to document her adventures as a performer, and started knitting and crocheting backstage in her down time. So she strangely has acting to thank for her creative outlets. She's been a Scrapbooking and Knitting instructor and Design Team Member for KatScrap Studio, and hosted Teen Knit Cafe, a Knitting DVD by Leisure Arts. Her style is nostalgic and vintage, and takes inspiration from turn of the century artists like Alphonse Mucha and Maxfield Parrish.
It was a tragedy that led Heather to discover her passion for oil painting. In the summer of 2002, her husband of 11 months was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. They both found hope in The Wellness Community Center of Pasadena and there took a class called Painting Your Way to Wellness. Heather was surprised and delighted with the painting that came home with her that day. After a courageous year, her husband passed away and she found true solace in painting.
Two years ago, Heather started Creative Souls, a mixed medium art workshop. Participants work with the elements in the kit and by the end of the two hour session they walk away with a unique piece of art work. There is no right way or wrong way in the sessions and each person is encouraged to explore their own creative soul.
I've been a crafty gal for as long as I can remember. I'm a wife, mom and grandma who loves to scrapbook, create, design, sew, collect, organize, and read. I enjoy watching movies, antique shopping, gardening, home decorating, baking and most of all hanging out with my family & friends and my extraordinarily talented husband, Robert and our little dog, Phoebe.
I love to collect all sorts of vintage ephemera, buttons and fabric bits to use on my creative projects. My favorite style is vintage – grunge and I like my projects to have different textures and layers. Moving off the scrapbook page onto different kinds of mixed media projects is my latest love. My new creative inspiration is nature since recently moving to the picturesque mountains of San Bernardino, CA.
Carole Lassak:
In addition to paper crafting Carole enjoys a variety of handcrafts and fiber arts, including needlepoint, crewel, knitting, crocheting, beadwork, and lacemaking. She regularly travels abroad to study the dying art of handmade bobbin lace. She incorporates mixed media techniques to create unique jewelry and paper art pieces. Carole holds Tombow Techniques Basics certification. Her favorite food is sushi, especially sea urchin. “I think any piece of raw seafood on a pillow of rice would delight me
