Fairy in a Jar with Terri Sproul Mixers!

Hi! Lyneen here, with my first post as a member of this fantastic design team!
Recently I was invited to participate on a “Fairy in a Jar" swap.  I didn’t know what one was, so I Googled “Fairy in a Jar.”   OH MY GOSH!  Where have I been, there are so many videos I was amazed. I am sharing my prototype for my swap.

Make the wings first and allow plenty of time to dry.  Using a stamped image for the size of wings needed for the fairy I followed the instructions from Gloriann Irizarry’s Dec 31st post on the Sakura Blog.  Please refer to Gloriann Irizarry’s post HERE to make wings!  I used Crystal Lacquer and Purple Color Crystal Lacquer.
Using Sakura Crystal Lacquer and mixing Mixers Citrine Pearl and Tanzanite resulted in a beautiful green for the bottom of the jar. For the blue sky  paint Crystal Lacquer and Aquamarine on the back half of the jar (not too thick or it will drip.  While the lacquer was still wet sprinkle a little Glitz Effects-Gold on the blue background.  Then with  a gold pen drew swirls on the jar.  Mistake the gold pen was not permanent on glass!!! Thank goodness I have Crystal Lacquer,  I set the pen swirls with clear Crystal Lacquer!

Once the lacquer has dried drip a few drops of Crystal Lacquer in the bottom of the jar and add some sheet moss. for an adhesive all embellishments (pine cones and roses) are  dipped in Crystal Lacquer as are added.
The fairy image was printed on copy paper and mounted on chip board, then carefully cut out. Her dress was painted with Shimmer Garnet and then a layer of Purple Pearl.
The wings were painted with Purple Pearl and dusted with Ultra fine GLitter. Wings were attached with Crystal Lacquer.  Then she was crowned.
Add trim, flowers and button to finish off the top of the jar!
