Solid Stamping with Crystal Lacquer

Hello everyone from sunny San Diego!

I received some new stamps from Memory Box and thought they would be perfect for showcasing the crystal lacquers from Sakura Hobby Crafts! Here is a the step by step process I used...

I used two coordinated stamps a butterfly outline and then the solid body of the butterfly. I first stamped the outlines in 3 different colors on a piece of white smooth cardstock. Then I took the solid stamp and dotted 4 different colors of the crystal lacquer from the Country Colors set all over the stamp. I stamped the 1st impression on a scratch piece of paper to get rid of the excess lacquer and smooth the colors together a bit. Then stamped the body in the outline butterfly stamped image on my white sheet of paper. I did this 3 times. Make sure you wash your stamp off immediately or the crystal lacquer can be difficult to remove if you let it dry.

Then after the crystal lacquer dried I stippled some coordinating colors around the butterflies and layered the piece onto a coordinating colored piece of cardstock and onto a card base of another coordinating cardstock. I then stamped my sentiment on another piece of white, stippled in coordinating colors and layered that onto a colored cardstock and 'popped' it with foam tape on the bottom of the card. I hope you enjoyed the results.
