Sakura meets Alice

Today I'm doing less talking, more "pictorialing". :)
I'm going to start by showing you the finished project...
(Beause I'm SO excited, I can't wait until the END of the post!)

Not the best photo, however, this is the end result!

This is what the frame looked like before.

First I sanded it. My husband says I have to sand EVERYTHING I paint. So... I listened!
Then I applied some Gesso.

Now comes the fun part... are you ready?!
I used Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst stains to apply the color.
Not only is it a sold, GORGEOUS color, but it's also glittery and beautiful!

Here it is all covered... (I used two different purples: Passionate Plum and Witch's Potion Purple.)

Then I used StazOn to stamp directly onto the frame.
Make sure you wait until the ink has dried. (The starburst stains.)

Here's a closer look at the stamped image. (Truthfully, I just liked the shadow!)

So here's a better look at the image!

Once the entire frame was stamped, I covered it in Crystal Lacquer.
In the above photo, you can see most of the frame was covered, but part, was not.

After I covered the entire frame, I added some german glitter glass in..
orange... purple... and black!

Here's the entire frame, after that was done.

In this photo, my daughter is 'painting' the mat with with
Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst stains in: Tiger Lily Red Orange and Marigold Yellow Orange.

Once dry, I added Graphic 45's Wizard of Oz paper.

Thanks for visiting today! I hope you've enjoyed my frame!
